  2. Business and Finance
  3. Parking and Transit Services

Welcome to UNO Parking and Transit Services!

UNO Parking & Transit Services manages campus parking and bus transit services as outlined on this website and in the UNO parking regulations. These rules are designed to provide safety, control administrative costs, and bring operational efficiency, which helps keep your parking fees low while giving you high levels of service and convenience.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Parking Office Closed | May 8

The UNO Parking and Transit Services office will be closed from 2:30 P.M.-4:30 P.M. on Thursday, May 8. Please contact us by email during that time and we will reply as soon as possible when we return.

Parking for Finals Week | May 12 - 16

UNO will provide open-parking Monday, May 12, through Friday, May 16, in all general-use spaces on campus surface lots and garages. Permits are not necessary to park during this time.

Please note that certain areas on campus are excluded from open-permit parking, such as pay-to-park areas where time limits are still enforced (Lots A, C, and the seven spaces in M), ADA spaces (reserved for those with an ADA permit), reserved spaces, loading zones, motorcycle areas, carpool spaces, compact stalls, visitor spaces, EV charging spaces, driveways, drive aisles, and fire lanes. These areas are enforced 24/7.

Shuttle Service for Prep Week | May 5 - 8

From Monday, May 5, through Thursday, May 8, evening shuttle service will be extended until 12 A.M. to assist those studying and preparing for finals at the Criss Library.

Shuttle Service for Finals Week | May 12 - 16

From Monday, May 12, through Friday, May 16, shuttles will run with limited service from 7:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. and will service the Criss Library, Scott Crossing/Hall, and Scott Court stops.  There will be no shuttle service to the Pacific Parking Garage, Peter Kiewit Institute, Mammel Hall, H&K, Maverick/University Village, or Milo Bail Student Center during Finals Week.

Parking for Summer | May 19 - July 31

UNO will observe valid-permit parking Monday, May 19, through Thursday, July 31. A valid UNO parking permit will be required to park in any general-use spaces but permit restrictions are relaxed, so a surface lot permit may park in the garages, or vice versa.

Summer permits go on sale for those without annual permits on Monday, May 13 at 8:00 A.M.

Please note that certain areas on campus are excluded from valid-permit parking, such as pay-to-park areas where time limits are still enforced (Lots A, C, and the seven spaces in M), ADA spaces (reserved for those with an ADA permit), reserved spaces, loading zones, motorcycle areas, carpool spaces, compact stalls, visitor spaces, EV charging spaces, driveways, drive aisles, and fire lanes. These areas are enforced 24/7.

Shuttle Service for Summer | May 19 - Aug. 15

From Monday, May 19 through Friday, Aug. 15, shuttles will run with limited service from 8:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. and will service the Criss Library, Scott Crossing/Hall, and Scott Court stops.  There will be no shuttle service on Monday, May 26 and Friday, July 4, when UNO is closed to observe Memorial Day and Independence Day.

There will be no shuttle service to the Pacific Parking Garage, Peter Kiewit Institute, Mammel Hall, H&K, Maverick/University Village, or Milo Bail Student Center during Summer service.  Riders that need to travel to and from Mammel Hall and/or the Pacific Parking Garage can be picked up and dropped off from the Scott Crossing/Hall stop.

Routine service will resume on Monday, Aug. 18.
